Deus e o Diabo sabem que logo mais acontecerá um crime no bar da esquina. Deus incorpora a vítima, Constantino, e o Diabo incorpora o algoz, Valdemar. A partir daí, inicia-se o embate entre Deus e o Diabo sobre a possibilidade de se evitar ou não o crime. Deus defende que o destino do homem já está traçado e que não cabe a Ele evitar ou não o crime. O Diabo, crédulo na capacidade de o ser humano mudar sua história, entende que é possível, sim, o homem interferir na condução do seu próprio destino e, portanto, impedir que o crime ocorra.
God and the Devil know that soon a crime will happen at the corner bar. God incorporates the victim, Constantino, and the Devil incorporates the tormentor, Valdemar. From there, the clash between God and the Devil begins about the possibility of avoiding or not the crime. God defends that the destiny of the man is already traced and that it is not up to Him to avoid or not the crime. The Devil, believing in the capacity of human beings to change their history, understands that it is possible for the man to interfere in the conduct of his own destiny and, therefore, to prevent the crime from occurring.
